I was kind of dismayed to see that none of yr Chinese readers had anything to say about the recent police (well, police-sanctioned goon) violence against dark-pigment people in Beijing. What this would-be "world city" is trying to do is basically commit its most grievous inequities now - before the international reporters arrive and start running up their expense-accounts. Not all Chinese rockers are maintaining silence on the matter. What i m dropping are three links to a Flash which a colleague of mine put together - in order that people who don't live within range of pirate radio or won't ever go to certain Haidian performance spaces get to hear at least one squeak of protest. The songsmiths, alas, wish to remain uncredited. Engineer likewise. But all would be "super happy" for whatever boost you could give this rocket. Again, hope you don't mind the post-hopping.
