Photo of how we use the Zoom H2 recorder with a mic stand for hands-free lazy bedcasting.
Padded blanket on wall behind bed reduces reflections, for that “studio sound”. Blanket was 30 bucks at Target. Mic stand was 20 bucks from MusiciansFriend.com

Loving the new set-up! Hands-free, spontaneous ease, and recline-on-the-bed comfort! And still meets our high audio standards.
You’re so brilliant, Daddy!

OH MY GOD! Californian’s that smoke!!!! how much was the cat? I miss my cat… though i don’t want another one. Fairly certain that it would become a meal for the wieners….

We’re lucky we live where we do. Two towns over it’s illegal to smoke in your friggin’ yard! (And in your HOME if you live in an apartment….is that even constitutional?)
The cat was free. That’s an odd question….our other two cats were 70 bucks for two, but that also paid for their shots and such. Cats are a good return on investment. Between three cats, I think we spend 30 bucks a week on food and cat sand. And get a hell of a lot of joy from having them.

The politically correct term for pets is now “Companion animals”.
Dont make me write you a ticket!

Yikes! The PC Police! Put our your cigarettes and assume the position!
But really…our cats have brains the size of peanuts. They’re “pets”. And we love ‘em and dote over them, but I think of “Companion animals” as critters smart enough to help the blind or rescue someone from an avalanche.
In an emergency, our beasts would just go find someone else to feed them and pet them.

[...] We’ve put blankets up behind the bed, to cut reflection so we can lay in bed and podcast without much room reflection. http://www.stinkfight.com/2007/12/21/h2-bedcast-setup/ [...]

Umm, I’ll bite: BEDCAST??! WTF is a “bedcast”? Is this some kind of porn thing? Do you guys live between Lankershim and Vineland or something?
