This is the complete “Guns” magazine from Sept. 1957. Has lots of photos of family bonding over guns, advertisements for mail-order 20 dollar Remington shotguns and mail-order 40 dollar fully automatic machine guns, as well as an interesting article (starts on page 22) called “Why Not a PRO-Gun Law?” (in which the author also admits he’s a felon, having purchased confiscated guns from cop friends.)
This mag, and all the photos, somehow kinda make me miss my grandfather.

Getting a rifle next? That’s the next step.
A pistol allows you to react to attacks at close range.
A shotgun allows you to actively defend your Nestlandia.
A rifle? That is the mark of a Free Man. Americans couldn’t have won their Freedom from the British Empire without rifles and rifle marksmanship. Americans couldn’t have kept their Freedom for as long as we did without the rifle-and the marksmanship training needed to wring the most potential.
A rifle extends your killing range(that’s what you got guns for, killing when necessary)out to as far as you can see. You can see a good 2-300 yards down your street, or if you go up to the top floor of your home or roof you can see a good few hundred yards.
A rifle can penetrate cover an enemy hides under. A rifle can hit out as far as you can see and know how to shoot.
You’re in California so I believe you can’t get a really awesome rifle like a M14 or FAL. You CAN get the M1 Garand.
The M1 Garand was the US issue rifle for World War Two and Korea. It is an AWESOME piece of 1940’s tech-when America COULD and DID.
Eight shot .30-06 semiautomatic, feeds from the top via a en bloc clip you can store the ammunition and clips in bandoliers forever. .30-06 surplus ball can be had at gun shows-have you ever been at a gun show? Does Cali still have gun shows?!
The rifle, and a case of ammo(you’re getting all the ammo you can, right?)will set you back about 1200 or so.
Anyway here’s another bit of 40’s nostalgia-a manual on how to shoot a Garand:

I would strongly recommend you contact the Appleseed shoot at http://www.appleseedinfo.org and order “Fred’s Guide to becoming a Rifleman”.
I would also strongly recommend acquiring a quality airsoft rifle and practice marksmanship principles-plinking is fun and going through the training regimen you will become a Rifleman.
Riflemen are Free men and you help Nestlandia and your neighborhood stay free by practicing and promoting rifle ownership and rifle marksmanship.
I got some thoughts on these matters.
