Who I’m NOT voting for
(Photo of me that DJ took at the gun range. Something about shooting near rattlesnakes not only makes guns seem safer, but also the sign seems to sum up our current economic and political world.)

SO….DJ and I have labored over what to do on election day. We CANNOT vote for either guy.

So here’s the puppy parade to take the bad taste out of your mouth…..some happy pictures.

I picked up a humane trap down at the local farm store. I’ve caught rabbits and squirrels in it. When Judgement Day (thanks, James Cameron) comes, I’ll have stew and save my ammo.

A human trap? I want one!

I agree with you — I cannot, with good conscience, vote for either Obama or McCain, or any of the third party folks. I didn’t think not voting for a president was an option, but now I know. I will vote on all the local and state things.

Yay! Tell two friends!

Maybe when I go in to vote, I should refrain from voting TWICE.
Where I live, one can not write-in names for the presidential candidates. (Well, you CAN, but they won’t be counted.)
Perhaps not coincidentally, it’s also one of the toughest states if you’re trying to get on the ballot in the first place. I don’t believe there will be ANY third-party candidates for president on our ballot…
Anyhow. I’m writing in Nader for president along with a brief “shame on you” scolding. In the state and local elections I’ll vote the usual way. Not sure if my write-in vote for president invalidates the entire ballot, or just the presidential part of it.
But either way, fuck it—-this is not laziness on my part. A good percentage of people who don’t vote refrain not because they’re lazy or indifferent, but because they’re good and pissed about how rigged the whole process is.

As for the economy, my friend in New York is buying gold. I hate the idea of having something worth 20 grand in my home that fits in a suitcase, too easy to kill me for it.
I’m investing in lead. (lots of ammo in case there’s rioting in the streets I can defend our house.)
