9-year-old emerging director learned from my book
The emerging director learned from my book $30 Film School.
Nine-year-old Emma Kenney made a short movie about a vampire named Francesca. It got accepted into an international film festival.
From New York Magazine. (article here.)
“I was watching Sabrina the Teenage Witch—the episode where Sabrina and her friend make a vampire movie for college. I wanted to see if it would be fun to make a horror movie. My uncle sent me a book called $$30 Film School. It taught me how to do lighting and how you set up the camera. I typed the script in red to make it scary. Then I got on the phone with my friend Liana to get her to be in my movie. I told her, ‘This movie will launch your career.’

This post kind of got overshadowed by the Nestlandia Tour, but it is cool. It gave me a warm, fuzzy feeling, and I didn’t even write the book. This little girl could be the next George Lucas, and it’ll be all your fault, LOL.
Let’s hope she doesn’t lose sight of her dreams.

George Lucas predicted it. But he said she’d be fat and from Ohio.
