Getting ready to move to Wyoming
We leave in less than two weeks. Packing now.
We reserved a big-ass truck, this one (this isn’t our house, but it’s the same sized truck we rented. We’re gonna tow our car behind it.)
Bought a mess o’ moving boxes. Here’s the “kitty custom agents” checking in the new shipment:
We’re incredibly psyched. We love Wyoming, and can’t wait to live there.

I think you guys are making the move to Wyoming faster than my wife and I moved to California. Good luck with the move.

This is sweet, getting to escape Cali. Find the American dream in a place with lots of peace and quiet.
All I can say is…..You win!

Wow, Michael — can’t believe you’re really moving!! That’s cool. I had been following you talking about making the move there for a while, but didn’t realize that you would do it this soon.
BTW, your book arrived here in Japan and I’ve really enjoyed reading it. It’s definitely PACKED with all sorts of advice about everything, more than I even anticipated. I thought it would be more limited in scope, but it definitely seems like it could be “$30 Life School” too.
One piece of advice I noticed while browsing through it, before plunging in for the full read was, “Get off Facebook and Myspace”. I’ve been thinking about your comments, and considering it in the coming months. I do agree that FB is a big time waster, something to maintain that is more about responding than creating. The fact that you, a very productive guy, give that advice definitely makes me reconsider my participation. Nowadays, it seems easier and easier to be “busy” without actually getting anything done — just responding to FB emails and such, never working on any real project.
I also love your comments about “math worms”. Boy, did that ever make me think of specific people that have been a headache in my life. It’s so true it’s sad. My favorite friends are people that I NEVER have to mentally “keep score” about.
To answer a question that you asked a while back, I actually ordered _A User’s Manual For The Human Experience_ from American Amazon. I didn’t think to check Amazon Japan, but I noticed that it is available there too. If I had ordered it from them, I might have gotten it even faster.
Anyway, hope the preparations for the move go well. It should bring new exciting possibilities!

Dave, WE WIN! Yay!
Jeff: Thank you, and glad you liked the book. I like that one made it to Japan. (One made it to India too, will read that e-mail on the next podcast.)
Regarding math worms, DJ read your comment and adds “Math is for classrooms, not for livingrooms.”
