Typical reader reaction:
Dear Mr Dean,
I am 26, and live in India. I have read your book “user’s manual…”, and it is surely helping me a great deal. I have been extremely depressed for some years of my life (I was not suicidal but close) because of two problems. First, some financial and professional failures and second, codependence….which eventually led to my emotional breakdown and put me through hell. I decided I won’t give up on life and since then I have been trying to deal with my worries and problems that are responsible for my miseries. For some time now I have stubbornly kept a faith that I will get better.
Your book has addressed the issues that have been troubling for me. And your words are reinforcing my faith that I will be healed someday and that I am capable of being completely happy.
I am aware you get a lot of emails everyday and I don’t want to take much of your time. I am simply writing to applaud your efforts towards helping people and also to express my heartfelt thanks for your generosity and the help I received in the form of your book.
Sir, I have not bought your book, I just have a free e-copy of it. I am afraid I can not make any donations at the moment as I am unemployed. As my condition improves I will certainly make some contribution. I know you said its okay if people can’t pay for your book, I feel that its incredibly kind of you.
I hope that you and your wife will find more happiness in life and continue your noble journey towards improving lives of people.
Take care and god bless you,
Best regards,
Siddharth
