blogged the band today!

yay!
We’re headlining on their site. Excellent! I’m honored, and I’m gonna have to check ‘em out more. I’m lately very torn on “vote libertarian, or vote to actually get someone elected.”
They might hold the answer.
And Eric Dondero who blogged it says he’s been blasting the music in his pickup truck early every morning, in TEXAS. When I started recording this I had a fantasy of it blasting out of pickup trucks in Texas and Idaho for some reason. (Though it might accomplish more if it were blasting out of lots of Volvos in San Francisco and limos in DC )

Ooooo, this may be a guy/group I could get behind!
I grew up around Republicans and still like some of their ideals, but I have never claimed to support the party. I’m definitely “Fiscally Conservative, Socially Tolerant, and Strong on Defense.” And I like Glenn Beck.

My problem with repubs is their MORAL issues. Like thinking pot is horrible.
What a waste or resources.
Also, they tend to care what people do in bedrooms. Nosy bas-thads!

I think they’re so nosy about what’s going on in other peoples’ bedrooms because there isn’t much going on in their own . . . but that’s just my opinion.
If they knew what was going on in a few that I’ve been in, they’d probably hold a second inquisition or perhaps a witch trial or two.
Gov’t can’t legislate morality. Ask 10 different people if a given behavior is morally acceptable, and you’re likely to get 10 different answers unless they’re all members of the same group. Forced morality is just a front to avoid persecution. If they force people to fit their definition of morality, that doesn’t mean that their definition is right, nor that the “convert’s” definition/definitions were wrong. Not only that, but it forces people to lie . . . which is immoral . . . so what have they really accomplished besides perhaps a little window dressing? Nothing, that’s what. Like MWD said, waste of resources, which is another thing Republicans seem to be good at: Wasting resources, natural or otherwise. Just a few of about a million reasons why I’ll never call myself a Republican.
