I think they're so nosy about what's going on in other peoples' bedrooms because there isn't much going on in their own . . . but that's just my opinion. ;)

If they knew what was going on in a few that I've been in, they'd probably hold a second inquisition or perhaps a witch trial or two. ;)

Gov't can't legislate morality. Ask 10 different people if a given behavior is morally acceptable, and you're likely to get 10 different answers unless they're all members of the same group. Forced morality is just a front to avoid persecution. If they force people to fit their definition of morality, that doesn't mean that their definition is right, nor that the "convert's" definition/definitions were wrong. Not only that, but it forces people to lie . . . which is immoral . . . so what have they really accomplished besides perhaps a little window dressing? Nothing, that's what. Like MWD said, waste of resources, which is another thing Republicans seem to be good at: Wasting resources, natural or otherwise. Just a few of about a million reasons why I'll never call myself a Republican.

My problem with repubs is their MORAL issues. Like thinking pot is horrible.

What a waste or resources.

Also, they tend to care what people do in bedrooms. Nosy bas-thads!

Ooooo, this may be a guy/group I could get behind!

I grew up around Republicans and still like some of their ideals, but I have never claimed to support the party. I'm definitely "Fiscally Conservative, Socially Tolerant, and Strong on Defense." And I like Glenn Beck.
