Carson Daly is a well-known American host, producer, television and radio personality from US. He began his television career by being a VJ in radio. He was the host for a singing competition show The Voice on NBC.

Born Carson Jones Daly on June 22, 1973 in Santa Monica, California, the singer was the son of an actor J.D. Daly and a television entity Pattie Daly Caruso. Before he made his entertainment career, he left his studies in Loyola Marymount University to pursue a professional golf career. Daly then met Jimmy Kimmel and became an intern at 18. He embarked upon his career as a broadcaster in the radio station KOME, San Jose.

Since then, Daly worked from one to another radio station until he became a disc jockey at the famous KROQ radio, which led to his on-screen work. He was an anchor and producer of Total Request Live by the late 1990s. His career rose to a deal with NBC and anchored a half-hour program Last Call with Carson Daly. He also hosted some television programs. Daly also appeared in television as an actor, such as playing a vital role in American sitcom My Name Is Earl (2005) for first episode, and as a cameo in Josie and the Pussycats (2001).

In 2010, Carson Daly came back to the radio as an anchor for the show Mornings with Carson Daly. He joined The Voice, a music competition show in the next year as a host and an executive producer. He was also the host of The Daly Download with Carson Daly, the weekend top 30 opening program of CBS Radio. Daly made Carson Daly Productions, his own production company. With the experiences he got from the entertainment industry, Daly and his partners (Bam Margera, Jonathan Rifkind, and Jonathan B. Davis) together made an independent record label called 456 Entertainment.

His dedication for entertainment was praised by numerous awards, including Emmy Award for Outstanding Reality-Competition Program for four years (2013, 2015, 2016 and 2017), 29th Producers Guild Award for Outstanding Producer of Competition Television in 2017. He also nominated for Best Reality Host in Critics’ Choice Television Awards (2014 and 2016).

Daly has been married to Siri Pinter in 2015 after more than 13 years together. He met Pinter in 2002 while she was working as a writer’s assistant in NBC. They had been dating secretly until eventually decided to go public. They had two children in 2009 and 2012 before chose to engage and get married. Daly and Pinter now have four children.
